Governance and leadership
Otago Polytechnic is governed by the Polytechnic Council, headed up by the Chair. The Executive Leadership team, led by the Chief Executive, manages the day-to-day running of our organisation.
Meet our Council
Our Council oversee the overarching strategy and direction of Otago Polytechnic. Our Council members are appointed in accordance with the Education and Training Act and are accountable to the Minister for Vocational Education.

Meet our Executive Leadership team
Our Executive Leadership Team (Te Kāhui Manukura) manage the day-to-day strategy and operations at Otago Polytechnic.

Our Leadership Council
We also have our Leadership Council (Kaunihera Whakahaere) who are comprised of other senior leaders - directors, managers and team leaders. They support the rollout of strategy and oversee their individual departments.
