Ceramics
Study Ceramics at Otago Polytechnic and explore this three-dimensional art to create anything from innovative, figurative, and sculptural pieces, to finely made vessels. We have the only dedicated ceramics study studio in New Zealand.

During your ceramics studies, you will learn to develop individual projects which explore ceramics as a medium with its own language, skills and history. With our hands-on approach to study, you can fully immerse yourself in your work with your own dedicated studio space surrounded by passionate peers.
In our degree or diploma programmes, you will study core art courses followed by ceramics as your chosen elective, or you can choose to develop your textile skills in one of our shorter programmes. Learn how our Bachelor of Visual Arts is structured across the three years - click here.
